Welcome to Lillian Lai's portfolio.
I live near Vancouver, BC on the west coast. I'm a graduate from Capilano University of the 3D Digital Animation 2010 and 2D Commercial Animation 2009 programs and come from a background of fine arts.
I've designed and created art assets for a flash based brower mmo, Glitch. My tasks range from concept designs to polished illustrations.
I've created art for an IOS game, Toppling Towers and Toppling Towers Halloween, developed in Unity by Harmony Arcade. I have painted backgrounds, designed characters, animated movies and created 2D user interface elements.
I've illustrated a children's book, Gracie's Got a Secret (published fall 2011). I enjoyed working with author Heather Conn and MW Books on this uplifting story that invites children to believe in themselves.
I have worked on projects such as Rated A for Awesome, a television show created in 3D for YTV produced by Nerd Corps Entertainment. I've created vector prop design and worked in XSI setting up passes and pre-compositing shots.
I'm constantly looking to improve and advance in my skills and abilities. I enjoy work that is challenging, and joyful, with a team or client that is passionate and positive about what we are doing.
I like sketching in cafes, drinking teas and mochas, reading and cute baby sloths.
